Dr Lewis will give you the care you need during your consultation to understand your condition and its management plan, with a focus on maintaining and restoring your eye health.
Dr Lewis trained at The Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick and completed two years sub-specialist training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK, in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery.
Dr Lewis is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney Medical School. She has been a peer reviewer for the American Academy of Ophthalmology Journal “Ophthalmology”. She participates in clinical research, clinical trials and has been the lead author and a contributing author in several peer reviewed publications.
Dr Lewis is an active Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and has served on the NSW State Branch Committee. She has been an advisor to the ophthalmology clinical indicators committee of the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) and contributed to State-wide Ophthalmology Services / Agency of Clinical Innovation Cornea and Cataract working groups.
Dr Lewis provides CPD lectures and meetings for medical professionals and optometrists and has served on the organising committee for ophthalmology conferences. She has also provided services to Outback and rural NSW including Bourke, Griffith and other locations through the Outback Eye Service based at the Prince of Wales Hospital.
Dr Lewis is Head of the Corneal Unit, Term Supervisor and mentor to junior medical officers and ophthalmologists in training at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital.
